The subsidy can be renewed after a new application.
Ukrainians whose utility costs exceed the established mandatory payment are provided with asubsidy. However, there is a risk that some citizens may lose the right to receive this assistance.
This was reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The department noted that some Ukrainians may have forgotten to inform the Pension Fund about the departure of one of their family members abroad, which may affect the right to receive a subsidy.
If a family member is abroad for more than 60 days, he is not taken into account when calculating the subsidy. His income, as well as housing standards and utility standards are not taken into account. For example, if three people are registered in the house, but the wife and child are abroad for more than 60 days, the subsidy will be assigned only to the husband.
“At the same time, if persons who applied for a subsidy and did not notify the Pension Fund of Ukraine about the stay of any of the household members abroad for more than 60 days, and the subsidy is calculated taking into account this person, then the payment of the housing subsidy is terminated, and the excess funds are returned to the recipient,” the PFU explained.
Recall that Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak reported that Ukrainians who have not yet had time to submit documents for subsidies for the 2024-2025 heating season have the opportunity to do so before November 30.
In this case, they will be credited with assistance “retroactively”, starting from October 1. If the documents are submitted after this date, but before December 1, payments will begin from the month of application.
To submit documents, it is not necessary to personally visit the Administrative Service Center or the Pension Fund – this can be done online. In addition, a simplified submission format has been in effect since the spring of 2023. Now you can submit only one document, indicating family members, and the Pension Fund will collect the rest of the information itself.
