If a person provides false information about himself, his pension may be frozen.
Violations of certain rules by some pensioners may threaten them with the cancellation of payments.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminds of this with reference to the law “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”.
Freezing of pensions due to violation of certain rules can be avoided if you provide reliable, up-to-date information about yourself in a timely manner.
So, pensioners may be left without payments if:
- the pension is assigned on the basis of documents containing inaccurate information;
- the pensioner has moved abroad;
- upon the application of the pensioner to terminate the payment of the pension due to temporary residence abroad;
- in the event of the death of the pensioner, recognition of him as missing or declaration of death in accordance with the procedure established by law;
- the pension has not been received for six consecutive months;
- the pensioner has not undergone the physical identification procedure;
- in other cases provided by law.
Where and how to find out about the appointment and accrual of a pension
A pensioner can personally or by mail, if he lives abroad, submit a corresponding application to a government agency to resume payments.
We remind you that earlier there was talk about the alleged cancellation of payments to people with disabilities. The Ministry of Social Policy explained the situation. Payments to Ukrainians with the second and third disability groups will not be canceled. Information about the cancellation is not true.
