The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has contacted the IAEA with requests to assess the evidence of a possible accident at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant and will rely on the agency’s response.
Georgiy Tykhy, river officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated this at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.

“First of all, we promptly contacted the IAEA to verify the information and evaluate the evidence of a possible accident. Through the mission of being in the middle of the occupied ZAES. And we are sure to immediately inform you of updates from the IAEA on this drive,” said the MZS river driver.
He said that the MZS is also discussing with the IAEA that “similar problems will and will continue to occur at the AEC, including those that operate the station by unlicensed third-party personnel.”
“And since we are already talking about the personnel, I want to say that we have released another track in cooperation with the IAEA – humanitarian, where we are discussing the possibility of returning to the controlled territory of captives and illegally imprisoned spivorotniki ZAES,” emphasized the river worker of the foreign policy department.
He also emphasized that “Ukraine is fighting for all its people, civilians and military. And the members of the Western European Union are part of our dialogue.”
Having transmitted Ukrinform, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine received information about the damage to the diesel tank during the immediate occupation of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant by Russia.
