Black Friday and Cyber Monday remain two of the largest shopping events of the year, and for the 2025 holiday season, retailers have already started launching early deals and previews, reports the Baltimore Chronicle. Black Friday falls on November 28, giving shoppers just under four weeks to prepare for holiday purchases, while Hanukkah begins on December 14, meaning those shopping for multiple celebrations are encouraged to start early.
Retailers have begun teasing early sales, similar to last year when brands like Dyson, Samsung, and Le Creuset offered significant discounts weeks ahead of schedule. Membership and loyalty programs often provide the first access to savings, with brands such as Abercrombie, Ulta, Nike, Amazon, and Apple offering exclusive early deals before they open to the general public.
Black Friday, occurring the day after Thanksgiving on November 28, is typically best for high-ticket items including televisions, laptops, kitchen appliances, vacuums, and mattresses. Cyber Monday, on December 1, is known for strong online deals in technology, fashion, beauty, digital subscriptions, and travel. For shoppers who prefer to avoid crowds and shop exclusively online, Cyber Monday remains the optimal choice.
Major retailers are expected to remain closed on Thanksgiving Day 2025, including Walmart, which has confirmed it will close, with Target, Best Buy, and Kohl’s likely to follow. Stores will reopen early on Friday, but many Black Friday deals are anticipated to go live online hours or even days before in-store openings. Holiday essentials such as artificial trees, outdoor decor, and Thanksgiving meal items are already available through early promotions.
Some highlighted early deals include: AESTURA offering 20% off at Amazon from November 20 to December 1, Sephora running 20% off from November 24 to December 1, Bear offering 35% off sitewide November 11–30 with code FRIDAY35 and 35% off on December 1 with code CYBER, BÉIS 30% off November 27 to December 1, Benefit Cosmetics specials at Ulta and Sephora, Bookshop.org 15% off select holiday gift guides, and many more. Discounts extend across categories from fashion and home goods to tech, skincare, and travel.
Retailers like Amazon, Avocado Green Mattress, Balsam Hill, Bare Necessities, Best Buy, Caraway, Headspace, Helix, The Home Depot, HexClad, Joybird, Lands’ End, Lowe’s, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Our Place, Solawave, Ulta, and Wayfair have already launched early promotions, with savings ranging from 20% to over 70% on select items, including cookware, furniture, Christmas trees, appliances, travel bags, and personal care products.
With Black Friday on November 28 and Cyber Monday on December 1, shoppers are encouraged to explore early deals now to secure holiday gifts, decor, and essentials while avoiding last-minute crowds and stock shortages.
