This this is the second major recall of electric vehicles in the last few weeks. This time, the company is recalling 120,423 Model S and X vehicles manufactured between 2021 and 2023 due to an issue that could cause an unlocked door to open during a crash.
According to data National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the malfunction increases the risk of injury and means that electric vehicles do not meet federal safety standards.
