The National Bank of Ukraine has recorded the import of gold into Ukraine in recent months, as well as a surge in the import of cash currency. Interfax-Ukraine reports this with reference to statistics from the National Bank.

So, volume The import of cash currency into Ukraine in October and November 2023 increased by the equivalent of $1.56.2 billion and $1.33.7 billion. For comparison, in September 577.7 million dollars were imported, in August – 435.2 million dollars.
The lion's share of imported currencies is occupied by US dollars and euros, which in November accounted for 78.7% and 20.5% of all imported cash currency.
At the same time, the import of dollars in recent months has increased much more significantly – from $282.7-296.7 million in August-September to 778.6-813.8 million dollars in October-November. While the euro – respectively from 143.7-172.3 million dollars to 268.8-211.6 million dollars.
A relatively insignificant import of pounds sterling was also recorded (the equivalent is a little more than 1 million dollars) and Polish zlotys (equivalent to up to $1 million).
In addition, the National Bank in recent months has recorded the import of gold in the amount of about $7-8 million.
