Sony presented at CES the final prototype of its first car, Afeela, which will go into production in 2025. The power plant and chassis of the new product are being developed by Honda. Carcoops reports this.

The car received an updated design, modified front and rear bumpers, new headlights and pillars, as well as an updated steering wheel and center console compared to the previous prototype. The dimensions of the car have increased, but the cabin has remained virtually unchanged.

The Afeela runs on a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a total output of 483 hp. The car is equipped with a 91 kWh lithium-ion battery and has a 150 kW fast charging capability.
In addition to the Afeela presentation, Sony Honda Mobility announced the development of a “conversational personal agent” and a partnership with Polyphony Digital to add a prototype to game Gran Turismo 7.
Externally, the car received an updated design, especially at the front, where the bumper, headlights and nose of the car were changed. Similar updates have been made to the rear, with a redesigned trunk and taillights. Inside, there have been minor updates, including a center console and dual wireless chargers for smartphones.
Conversational Personal Agent
Conversational Personal Agent, using Microsoft Azure OpenAI technology, can enable natural language communication with people. In addition, the company is collaborating with Epic Games and using their technology to create engagement displays that provide different gaming features and improve safety.
It is also noted that the data sensors can be used to create a digital 3D environment where various objects on the road can be displayed, which improves driver safety.
