“Persons who have received a certificate of temporary protection from the Office for Foreigners valid until March 4, 2023, September 4, 2023 or March 4, 2024 do not need to apply for new documents. These certificates will be valid until March 4, 2025,” the message says.
The regulations do not provide a legal basis for replacing already issued certificates in connection with the continuation of temporary protection. The documents contain a corresponding note regarding the extension of their validity period by force of law.
Therefore, foreigners who have already received certificates can continue to use them as residence documents confirming their legal status.
