To whom is it dedicated?
This coin is dedicated to a special-purpose state law enforcement agency that occupies a special place in the system of national security and defense of Ukraine.
Military personnel of the State Security Department of Ukraine play an important role in ensuring the security of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as senior state officials. They also protect high-ranking foreign delegations of our partners arriving in Ukraine or staying on its territory.
Coin design
The coin has a denomination of 5 hryvnia. It is made of nickel silver, minting quality category is “special uncirculated”, weight is 16.5 g, diameter is 35.0 mm. The group of the coin is grooved. The circulation is up to 50 thousand pieces.
On the obverse of the commemorative coin “State Security Administration of Ukraine” the emblem of the State Security Administration of Ukraine is placed on a mirror background, and its motto is placed on a matte background: To the State. To the people. Law.
The reverse depicts a composition symbolizing different historical periods of the formation of Ukraine and the defense of the state by Ukrainian soldiers, whose courage remains unchanged through a generation: on the left of the composition is a stylized trident; in the center there is a mace with sabers and a shield decorated with a Cossack cross, personifying power, military twinning and protection; on the right is a fragment of the camera lens, symbolizing modern technologies in organizing the process of protection and security.
