For the first time in the country’s history, Ukraine was able to complete the heating season thanks to its own produced gas. This was announced by the head of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Alexey Chernyshev.

“You and I went through the winter entirely on Ukrainian gas! Historical event. 10 years ago no one would have believed this. Two years ago, when a full-scale war began, it was also hard to believe,” he noted.
According to him, Ukraine plans to continue to support the trend of energy independence.

The Ministry of Finance wrote that the price of TTF gas, the European benchmark, fell to 22.53 euros per MWh on Friday, February 23, the lowest level since May 2021, and is experiencing a third weekly decline in a row. In the summer of 2022, European gas prices reached their peak, rising to more than 300 euros per MWh.
