For two months of 2024, trade turnover amounted to $16.8 billion. This is 2% more than the same period in 2023, reports the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

So, for January-February 2024 in Ukraine imported goods worth $10 billion, and exported $6.8 billion.
At the same time, taxable imports amounted to $8.8 billion, which is 88% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tax burden per 1 kg of taxable imports in January-February 2024 amounted to $0.47/kg, which is 5% more than for the same period in 2023.
Countries from which imported the most goods to Ukraine: China – $2 billion, Poland – $1.1 billion and Germany – $769 million.
Ukraine exported the most to Poland – $649 million, Spain – $624 million, China – by $504 million.
Import
In the total volumes of goods imported in January-February 2024, 67% were made up of the following categories of goods:
- machinery, equipment and transport – $3.5 billion. During customs clearance of these goods, 25.3 billion UAH were paid to the budget, which is 31% of customs duties receipts; chemical industry products – $1.8 billion. During customs clearance of these goods, 12.8 billion UAH were paid to the budget, which is 16% of customs duty receipts; fuel and energy – $1.3 billion. During customs clearance of these goods, 20.0 billion UAH were paid to the budget, which is 24% of customs duty receipts.
Export
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine include:
- food products – $4.5 billion, metals and metal products – $726 million, mineral products — $587 million.
For the first two months of 2024, UAH 47.96 million was paid to the budget during customs clearance of exports of goods for which an export duty is established.
