Elon Musk said that Tesla will produce humanoid robots for internal use within the company as early as next year. He made this statement several months after he announced the release of robots by the end of 2024, writes Reuters.

“We hope that in 2026 the automaker will begin mass production of robots for other companies,” Musk wrote in a post on social media platform X.
In April, he said that the Tesla robot called Optimus, will be able to perform factory tasks by the end of this year and will be ready for sale at the end of 2025.
Humanoid robots have been in development for several years at Japanese Honda and Boston Dynamics at Hyundai Motor. Companies are banking on robots to solve labor shortages and perform routine, repetitive tasks that can be dangerous or tedious, such as in logistics, warehousing and manufacturing.
