More than 17 thousand men liable for military service have a deferment from conscription due to reservations. This is stated in the response of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine to a request from hromadske.

Details
As of July 31, according to orders of the Ministry of Economy, about 615 thousand people have a valid deferment from conscription for military service during mobilization.
In total, the department has adopted 33,782 orders on the reservation of military personnel, of which 17,632 are still in effect.
The distribution of the number of “reserved” men working in sectors of the economy, government agencies or local governments is approximately as follows:
- energy sector – 29%; industry, manufacturing – 15%; transport – 14%; agro-industrial complex – 12%; medicine – 6%; defense industry complex – 5%; government bodies, other government bodies – 4%; IT specialists, electronic communications industry – 2%; finance, banking sector – 2%; trade sector – 2%; local executive authorities, local government bodies – 2%.
