World leaders have thrown their support behind Ukraine after talks between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump in the United States failed.

“You have to respect those who are fighting,” said French President Emmanuel Macron.
“Sweden is on Ukraine's side. You are fighting not only for your freedom, but for all of Europe. Glory to Ukraine!” Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said in a statement.
“The truth is simple. Russia attacked Ukraine. Russia is the aggressor. Ukraine is defending its and our freedom. We are with Ukraine,” wrote Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
“We support Ukraine in its honest struggle for a just and lasting peace,” wrote Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed support for Zelensky.

“We stand with Ukraine as never before. It is time for Europe to step up its efforts,” wrote Czech President Petr Pavel.
“Latvia supports Ukraine,” wrote the country's Prime Minister Evika Silina.
“No one wants peace as much as the Ukrainians. That is why we are working on a common path to a strong and just peace. Ukraine can rely on Germany – and on Europe,” wrote German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
