The state has paid employers UAH 56 million as part of a compensation program for the employment of 2,500 internally displaced persons since the beginning of 2025. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhnaya.

Employment of IDPs
“Since the beginning of this year, 1,500 employers have received compensation from the Government for employing 2,500 Ukrainians who were forced to move from dangerous regions of the country. 126 of them are people with disabilities. Entrepreneurs were compensated a total of UAH 56 million. Thanks to the financial support of employers through this program, we help internally displaced persons find work faster, adapt to a new place, and be able to provide for themselves and their families,” Berezhnaya noted.
The largest number of internally displaced persons were employed under this program in the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv regions and Kyiv.
The amount of compensation paid to an employer for employing a person who received IDP status after February 24, 2022, is 8 thousand hryvnia.
To receive compensation, the employer must:
- conclude an employment contract (including part-time work), a gig contract with an internally displaced person; submit an application for compensation through the Diya Portal or in paper form at the employment center at the place of business activity along with a package of necessary documents.
