Denmark has allocated 98 million euros for energy equipment for Ukraine

As part of the Ukrainian-Danish energy partnership, Denmark has allocated 98 million euros for the purchase of equipment to strengthen Ukraine's energy security. This was stated by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, Ukrinform reports.

What is known

“We have a Ukrainian-Danish energy partnership, this is our flagship civil initiative that promotes the sustainability of Ukrainian energy. 98 million euros were allocated for the purchase of solar equipment, gas piston units,” the ambassador said.

He stressed that energy efficiency is an important component of cooperation between Denmark and Ukraine. This includes both short-term and long-term strategies aimed at improving energy security.

Mikkelsen also said that the countries are cooperating in the areas of thermal insulation, heating and cooling systems, and energy saving technologies.

Let us recall

In early 2024, Ukraine and Denmark developed a list of critical technologies for the energy sector.

The catalogue includes 20 technological solutions that can be implemented in Ukraine to support distributed generation.

The solutions are presented in such groups as gas turbines, solar panels with storage, wind generation, grid energy storage systems, biogas generation, biomass cogeneration plants.
