Ukrposhta temporarily stopped operations in Kherson due to massive Russian shelling

On Thursday, March 27, Ukrposhta will not deliver or pick up parcels in Kherson due to the city being under enemy fire. This was reported by the company's press service.

“To preserve the lives and health of our employees, today we will not be able to deliver and pick up parcels in Kherson. We are waiting out the Russian terror and resuming work. Everything will be Ukraine,” the statement says.

Massive shelling of Kherson

The head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, said that the central part of Kherson came under fire. Also, as a result of the attack, part of the city was left without electricity. In particular, trolleybuses were suspended.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, a 55-year-old woman died as a result of the shelling. A man who was at the bus stop during the attack also died.

In addition, an ambulance team came under fire. The enemy attacked it during the evacuation of a 59-year-old man who suffered an explosive injury, concussion and abdominal wound. As a result of the attack, a 33-year-old paramedic and a 63-year-old driver were injured.

Ukrzaliznytsia stated that Russians fired at the railway station in Kherson.

As a result of the shelling, a carriage of train No. 110 Kherson-Lviv was damaged, the train departed with a delay of one and a half hours. The damaged carriage will be replaced with a spare one at the nearest stations.

There were no casualties. Workers and passengers were in shelter.
