On March 26, the Government of Norway, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), transferred 16 gas piston units with a total capacity of over 150 MW to the Naftogaz Group.
This equipment will provide heat and electricity to more than 500 thousand residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region and will strengthen the energy security of two large cities.
The Norwegian government also allocated almost 140 million in grant aid to Naftogaz for the purchase of natural gas.
“A more secure energy supply is important for Ukraine's energy sustainability. There is an urgent need to increase financing for gas imports to provide electricity and heat for homes, businesses and public institutions. Norway is doing its part to meet this need,” said the Norwegian Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Finance wrote that on March 26, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a loan for NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine in the amount of up to 270 million euros to purchase gas for the next two heating seasons in Ukraine.
