Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has teamed up with payment system Mastercard to issue physical and digital debit cards, Forklog writes.

What is known
The product allows for payments in cryptocurrency and stablecoins at more than 150 million merchants worldwide. The new cards will be offered to users in the UK and Europe.
The project is part of the Kraken Pay service, which provides the ability to make cross-border payments in more than 300 crypto and fiat currencies.
The exchange provides customers with a unique Kraktag ID that is linked to their wallet. At the time of writing, Kraktag has over 200,000 active users.
Kraken CEO David Ripley noted that the project's goal is to simplify the use of cryptocurrencies for everyday spending.
“Our customers want to easily pay for purchases with cryptocurrency or stablecoins,” he added.
The debit cards are expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. Kraken customers can now sign up for a waitlist to be the first to get access to the new solutions.
