What is known
The Wienerberger head office confirmed information about the transaction. They explained that due to the geopolitical situation, the company decided to leave the Russian market in 2022.
The structuring of the transaction turned out to be very difficult in the context of constantly changing legislation, however, “the sale of a local business to a Russian family group was successfully completed” , noted a representative of Wienerberger.
According to him, the parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Wienerberger has completed the sale of its assets from the Russian market, the company summarized.

In general, the Wienerberger concern has about 200 production sites in 28 countries around the world. It produces building ceramics, including bricks, blocks, various types of paving stones and tiles. Wienerberger's revenue last year reached 4.2 billion euros, and its profit after tax amounted to 334.4 million euros.
