First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Kornienko said that certain amendments will most likely be made by the second reading. Therefore, what comes to President Zelensky’s signature may be very different from government initiatives.
«I’m not ready to say which version will be released . My prediction is that there will be some kind of compromise version, I don’t know what the compromises will be around, but it will definitely be different from what the government introduced», — he said.
According to Kornienko, there may be a so-called «committee» version when they take several alternative bills and develop a general version. This is exactly the option that can be submitted to people’s deputies for consideration in the first reading.
The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also stated that it is necessary to separately critically examine the restrictions on the rights of citizens that are proposed by the bill.
