The Minister of Civil Defense of Sweden, Karl-Oskar Bulin, called on the country's citizens to be prepared for the fact that war could break out. In this regard, he asked all compatriots to take part in strengthening the defense of the state and prepare for a possible test.
“Many have talked about this before me, but let me to do this in an official capacity, more clearly and clearly: a war could start in Sweden,” the minister said, noting that he was not trying to scare the Swedes.
In his speech, the minister said that peace is not a “steady constant”, even in Sweden, despite the fact that it is a traditionally peaceful country. Bulin called on all Swedes to help create the total defense of Sweden.
Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces Mikael Büden, commenting on the minister’s words, said that all citizens must “at an individual level prepare themselves morally” for war.
“Everything is serious and could get even worse – even for us,” he added.
