According to CNN journalists, American and Western intelligence officers suggest that Russia's war against Ukraine will last «for a long time», regardless of of what will happen this year in American politics.
«Estimates vary, but almost all of them assume that fighting will continue for some time at least two years», — sources familiar with intelligence data told the publication.
At the same time, as CNN noted, in private conversations some American and Western officials say that fighting in Ukraine could continue for another five years.
