The German Ministry of Defense said that on that day in Ukraine there were: Major General Christian Freuding, who heads the working group for coordinating assistance to Ukraine under the German Ministry of Defense.
Also the capital of Ukraine was visited by the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, Carsten Breuer, one of the main military leaders of the Federal Republic of Germany and a confidant of the German Minister of Defense.
It is noted that they arrived in Kiev secretly at the invitation of the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. However, on the day of their arrival, the latter was dismissed.
The German Ministry of Defense said that the purpose of the visit was «further exchange of information about current defense needs and future military challenges». The publication believes that this visit could speed up negotiations on military cooperation between the countries.
