Last year, the work of several Kyiv metro stations was suspended due to unsatisfactory technical condition.
This information was reported by One.ua, URA-Inform reports.
However, as it turned out, this year there will be more idle metro stations in the capital. In particular, it became known that the «Pochayna» metro station and «Taras Shevchenko» getting ready to close. Also, some shortcomings were identified at the Pochtovaya Ploshchad station. The technical condition of this metropolitan facility is deteriorating due to the active movement of ground transport on the surface.
This news was published by Kommersant Ukrainian, citing sources in the Kyiv City State Administration. According to the unnamed official, it is now possible to continue the operation of the «Pochtovaya Ploshchad» assessed by experts. But at the stations «Pochayna» and «Taras Shevchenko» the decision has already been made and it is final. Their work will be temporarily suspended.
«They need to be repaired not because of wear and tear and, accordingly, the need for scheduled technical repairs, but also because of cracks and moisture seepage. Groundwater, precipitation, and resulting destruction — These are actually problems not only of these two stations. The problems are the same as at the metro stations on Teremki, but so far on a smaller scale», — reports an anonymous source.
In turn, representatives of the Kyiv Metro confirmed this information. Experts note that the Blue Line stations The metro will indeed not operate for a certain period. Their activities will be stopped for scheduled maintenance work. We are talking about repairing sections of tunnels along the 1st main track. At the same time, metro workers did not answer when exactly these facilities would stop working, and when their repairs would be completed.
It is also worth adding that the State Audit Service of Ukraine conducted inspections of the municipal enterprise «Kiev Metro» ;. Auditors have already identified some violations. The total amount of losses exceeds 200 million hryvnia.
