National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that the Russian Federation may be preparing to launch a larger offensive to the city of Kharkov.
This information was reported by Bloomberg correspondent Jennifer Jacobs on Twitter, URA-Inform reports.
A White House spokesman expressed the opinion that Moscow may increase the intensity of attacks on this section of the front in the coming weeks with the aim of «creating a buffer zone along the Ukrainian border».
However, he added, “The United States is providing Ukraine with what it needs to repel these attacks.”
«So it is very interesting and certainly worrying that they now seem to be preparing to — at least — use long-range fire to try to break into Kharkov. And we must assume that you will not do this if you are not thinking about some other larger-scale attack directly on the city», — added Kirby.
We recall that it was previously reported that the Russian Federation launched a major attack: the Ministry of Defense told where the evacuation was announced.
