Polish research scientists analyzed the impact of the use of unmanned maritime drones on the security situation in the Black Sea region and identified the most effective maritime drone.< /p>

According to the authors of the study, in the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukrainian naval drones hit 22 warships, of which eight were destroyed. Among them are drones «Nikolai» and «Mamai» hit two ships each, Sea Baby — four ships, Magura V5 — 14 ships, eight of which were completely destroyed.
The researchers relied on open sources. The following Ukrainian and Russian sea drones came into focus: “Nikolay”, Magura V5, “Mamai”, Sea Baby, “Toloka TLK-150”, “Marichka” of Ukrainian production, as well as the only known sea drone of the Russians – “Kulbaba”.
Polish researchers concluded that the Ukrainian drone Magura V5 destroyed the most Russian ships during the full-scale war. It is worth noting that Magura V5 (Maritime Autonomous Guard Unmanned Robotic Apparatus) is a Ukrainian unmanned surface drone used for reconnaissance and destruction of hostile targets. It is known that this drone is used by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in particular, the Group13 special forces.
Magura V5 is the world's first naval drone with confirmed completely destroyed targets in combat conditions. Among those confirmed and officially recognized by Ukrainian military intelligence are the following:
— reconnaissance ship «Ivan Khurs» (damaged May 24, 2023);
— patrol ship «Sergey Kotov» (damaged twice — July 24 and September 13, 2023);
— landing boat «D-144 Serna» (sunk on November 11, 2023 along with «BTR-82» on board);
— landing boat «D-295 Akula» (drowned November 11, 2023);
— missile boat «Ivanovets» (drowned February 1, 2024);
— large landing ship «Caesar Kunikov» (drowned February 14, 2024);
— patrol ship «Sergey Kotov» (sunk on March 5, 2024 along with the Ka-29 helicopter);
— two special-purpose high-speed boats «RIF-75» (destroyed on May 6, 2024).
In addition, during a large-scale attack on the KS-701 «Tuna» On May 30 this year, three such vessels were damaged by drones, and one was destroyed.
