The so-called «Johnson plan», which involves giving up part of the territories to Kiev, is being actively discussed in the Ukrainian state captured by Russia.

Criticism of Poroshenko’s associates< /h2>
The proposal of the British ex-prime minister was sharply criticized by the associates of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. People's Deputy Irina Gerashchenko expressed her dissatisfaction, saying that Johnson is inviting Ukrainians and the West to “choose shame.” This statement is reminiscent of Winston Churchill's famous phrase about the choice between shame and war.
Gerashchenko’s faction colleague, Vladimir Vyatrovich, also spoke out against the plan. He emphasized that in addition to renouncing territorial integrity, Ukrainians are being asked to “sacrifice identity.” Vyatrovich noted that Johnson’s plan involves granting rights to the Russian-speaking population, which, in his opinion, can be used by Putin to demonstrate the success of his policy of «denazification» Ukraine.
Aleksey Arestovich's position
Against the background of this criticism, former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Aleksey Arestovich came out with the opposite point of view. He noted that Johnson's proposals are «unrealistically optimistic» and that the real conditions for ending the war could be much more difficult for Ukraine. Arestovich emphasized that further prolongation of the conflict will lead to even more harsh conditions for the country.
«Everything will be much more severe for Ukraine. And the longer we delay, the harsher it will be», — wrote Arestovich.
