Sociological service The Razumkov Center conducted this survey of Ukrainians from September 20 to 26, 2024.

The survey results indicate that in Ukraine, 38% of citizens believe that holding negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin is an effective way to achieve peace. The opposite opinion is held by 48%.
It is worth noting that in September 2023, 21% of respondents believed that negotiations with Russia – “this is an effective way to achieve peace that needs to be used now,” while 63% disagreed. And just a year later, the share of those who support negotiations with the aggressor has grown to 35%, although the relative majority (48%) do not agree with this.
There are also fewer of those who believe that “negotiations with Russia should be carried out only after the displacement (withdrawal) of its troops to the borders as of 1991.” Thus, their share decreased from 61% to 49%, disagree – 24% and 29% of citizens, respectively.
< p>The residents of the Southern region support the idea of negotiations with Russia the most (48%) (37% disagree). The residents of the Western region support it the least (23% and 57%, respectively) and the relative majority of the residents of the Central region (23% and 57%, respectively) 37% and 47.5%) regions.
Also earlier, Zelensky voiced the condition after which peace negotiations could begin.
