More than 75 million people have already voted in the United States presidential election, which is almost half of the total number of voters in 2020.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Axios.
It is noted that the aforementioned significant increase highlights the shift to new forms of citizen participation, where early voting and mail-in ballots are becoming the norm.
In states like Georgia and North Carolina, early turnout has already reached 80% from the 2020 level, which is a significant figure.
Despite Donald Trump's previous statements about the risks of mail-in voting, Republicans are now actively urging their supporters to vote early, seeing this as a way to strengthen the party's position.
According to the University of Florida, Democrats are ahead of Republicans in early voting by 1.7 percentage points, making early voting the deciding factor in the results of future elections.
Against this background, a report appeared that non-public negotiations are being conducted between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
