On November 13, the US Aegis Ashore missile defense base was opened in the village of Redzikowo in northern Poland; construction began during Barak's presidency Obama. The emergence of a new NATO military facility has outraged Moscow, the NBN publication reports.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the base in Redzikowo “has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential destruction.” The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry also accused the United States of “continuing to provoke” the Russian Federation.
As RMF24 reports, Warsaw responded to statements from Moscow. A representative of the Polish diplomatic department, Pawel Wronski, explained that the base in Redzikowo is designed to combat ballistic missiles, especially from rogue states that base their policies on threats.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman clarified that if the Kremlin resumes its threats, the Alliance will strengthen the air defense of NATO's entire eastern flank, in particular, the capabilities of the new military facility will be expanded.
Recall that the French Foreign Ministry spoke out about the nuclear threats of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
