The official explained that in rural areas, wood is an important reserve, and sometimes the main fuel for the population. Therefore, there are no restrictions on the procurement of firewood for people, and there will not be any.
The resonant parliamentary bill on fines for storing firewood will not be signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Shmygal assured.
In addition, The Prime Minister emphasized that “the state and government will do everything possible to assist Ukrainians who are stocking up on firewood to heat their homes in winter.” According to him, a corresponding support program has been developed for this purpose, which is being implemented together with partners.
