Since December of this year, updated rules for reserving military personnel from mobilization come into force in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Economy has developed clear criteria that will allow enterprises and institutions to apply for a deferment for their employees. All deferments granted before December 1, 2024, remain in force, but not longer than February 28, 2025.
For example, if a booking decision was made in November for a period of six months, it will only be valid for three months, until the end of February. After this, enterprises will need to re-submit documents to confirm their status.
The new rules identify a number of priority categories that are entitled to 100% reservation:
- heads of government bodies and administrations: heads of regional, district, village and settlement councils, mayors;
- representatives of strategic enterprises: ultimate beneficiaries, members of supervisory boards and key employees of companies with assets from 200 million to 2 billion UAH;
- employees of international organizations: UN specialists, representatives of non-governmental organizations and members of Olympic teams;
- employees of the fuel and energy sector: technical staff and contractors ensuring the operation of the energy system and gas transportation infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the number of sabotage acts against employees of security services has increased in Ukraine.
