A wedding took place in Philadelphia that was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest marriage in stories. The groom, Bernie Littman, turned 100, and his bride, Marjorie Fiterman, turned 102.
This is a second marriage for both: each of the spouses spent more than 60 years with their previous partners, and after their deaths moved to a nursing home, where fate brought them together.
Their romance began nine years ago, when Littman noticed Fiterman at an event at the nursing home. That same day, he invited her on a date, offering to celebrate the birth of his great-granddaughter together.
Relatives of the young couple said that Bernie and Marjorie captivated each other with their intellect and sense of humor. Their relationship strengthened during the pandemic, when they supported each other both emotionally and actively.
This touching love story proves that age is no barrier to new happy beginnings.
