The COVID-19 vaccine can lead to heart problems and more: a new conclusion from scientists

Vaccines designed to prevent long-term and severe symptoms of COVID-19 may be linked to an increased risk of serious diseases, according to the results of a new study.

This information was reported by the Science Direct resource, reports URA-Inform.

Where did it all begin?

This has previously been discussed in the early stages of vaccine development, but now scientists are studying possible side effects in more detail. A global study conducted by the Global Vaccine Data Network reveals several important and alarming trends.

According to the data, the most frequent cases of cardiovascular inflammation were observed after vaccinations with mRNA vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, as well as an increased risk of thrombosis in the brain after using AstraZeneca Plc's viral vector vaccine from the University of Oxford.

What did the scientists find?

Vaccines based on the virus are also associated with an increased risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome, which is a neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system.

Despite the obvious benefits of vaccination, some individuals who received the vaccine still experienced negative consequences. The global study included approximately 99 million people in eight countries who were vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Additional learnings and findings

The study found that that myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, could occur after both the first and subsequent doses of the mRNA vaccines. However, after receiving the Moderna vaccine, there were more frequent cases of pericarditis, which is a dangerous health condition.

There were also cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome within 42 days after receiving the first dose of the ChAdOx1 vaccine from the University of Oxford or &# 171;Vaxzevria» from AstraZeneca. However, such cases have not been observed with mRNA vaccines. It is also assumed that ChAdOx1 is associated with a threefold increase in the risk of thrombosis of the cerebral venous sinuses, which can lead to blood clots in the brain.

Let us remind you what will happen if you completely give up salt: doctors talked about the consequences.
