The head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, appointed Sergei Pinchuk as the new commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. He came to replace Viktor Sokolov, who previously held this position.

Sergei Shoigu reported this information, URA-Inform reports.

During a conference call with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced Putin's decree on the appointment of Admiral Alexander Moiseev as Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Vice Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov as Commander of the Northern Fleet, and Sergei Pinchuk as Commander of the Black Sea Fleet.

«Colleagues, congratulations! You understand the enormous responsibility that falls on your shoulders. And, I hope, you will cope with the tasks that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and, of course, the country have set for you. said Sergei Shoigu.

It is worth recalling that on the night of March 5, the Russian ship «Sergei Kotov» was sunk in the Black Sea by the forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate. It is one of the most modern ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Recently, Bild expert Julian Rjopke said that the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation suffered huge losses during the war with Ukraine. According to him, during a full-scale invasion, the losses of the enemy fleet in the Black Sea are 20 percent.

Also on the night of February 14, the Russian large landing ship Caesar Kunikov was destroyed in the Black Sea. The operation was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

We recall that it was previously reported that Ukraine struck the Russian Federation 1200 km away: the important purpose of the fateful arrival is known.
