Festival organizers said crews could no longer safely continue building the beachfront site. They made the final decision after guidance from the National Weather Service and discussions with local officials.

- coastal flooding and unusually high tides;
- strong winds near the Ocean City shoreline;
- dangerous surf and further beach erosion;
- unsafe conditions for crews assembling festival infrastructure.
