Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov said that Russia is preparing for a new big offensive in the summer.

At the same time, he emphasized that the Russians are preparing for another large-scale offensive at the front in June. According to Budanov, they will try to completely capture the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.
At the same time, he noted that the Kremlin has repeatedly set the task for Russian troops to completely capture Donbass, but so far the occupiers have not fulfilled it .
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that the Russians will try to seize as many territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions as possible before the elections in the United States. He suggested that the Kremlin probably hopes that Donald Trump will become the next head of the States and then the Russians will be able to «ratify» its successes in the east of Ukraine.
Budanov added that Ukraine is aware of the plans of the Russian Federation and emphasized that Ukraine has its own plan aimed at reducing Russian potential.
