According to new satellite images, at the airfield «Engels-2» 4 additional strategic aviation aircraft appeared in Saratov. In particular, we are talking about Tu-22M3 bombers. According to OSINT analysts, these strategic bombers arrived on Tuesday evening, February 27, from the Olenya airfield.
As analysts say, as a result, the total number of strategic aircraft at the Engels airfield -2» increased to 12 aircraft.
As of now, the following strategic fighters are located there:
Tu-95MS – 5 pieces;
Tu-22M – 4 pieces;
Tu-160 – 3 pieces.
It is worth noting that the Tu-22M — Russian supersonic missile carrier and bomber with variable-sweep wings. It can also carry nuclear weapons.
