Alexander Musienko, director of the Center for Military Legal Studies, expressed his opinion about a possible offensive by the Russian army this summer.

This information was reported online, URA-Inform reports.

According to him, although such a scenario undoubtedly poses a danger, it is not the worst for Ukraine. Musienko stressed that Russia risks facing serious consequences if it carries out a large-scale offensive on Ukrainian territory during this period.

He believes that the worst thing would be if the Russians began to accumulate their forces for next fall.

«To some extent, the fact that Russian troops are now going all-in and taking such a significant risk is not the worst scenario for us. The worst thing for us would be if they now began to accumulate all these forces for the fall. “We took a break now and prepared more carefully,” Musienko said.

The expert noted that Russia needs time until the fall to properly staff the two new armies that Shoigu spoke about, but they are in a hurry .

«This is what Shoigu voiced, that it is necessary to complete 2 armies, 14 divisions, 6 brigades… This is 250-300 thousand people. What does it mean to complete them? I will never believe in my life until June 1, these are unrealistic deadlines. They need time, until approximately October. Then they would really plan some other actions, but they are in a hurry. Because they think that Ukraine will not have support,” the expert said.

Recall that it was previously reported that the Russians are intensively advancing in one of the directions: ISW named the goal of the occupiers.
