«I I am pleased to announce the allocation of $6 billion as part of the Ukraine Assistance Initiative», — says a statement by an American official.
Austin stressed that this will allow the United States to purchase weapons produced by American enterprises. He also added that this assistance package is the largest since the full-scale war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
«It will include critical interception capabilities for the NASAMS and Patriot systems. More drones and other equipment. A large amount of artillery ammunition and surface-to-air missiles. So that this assistance is placed on a sustainable basis», — Lloyd Austin summarized.
