The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, has clearly expressed his determination in responding to the brutal shelling that the city of Kharkov is facing from the Russian military.
Zelensky announced this information in his Telegram, URA-Inform reports.
During a meeting with the country's highest military command, Zelensky discussed the situation at the front, paying special attention to Kharkov, which has recently become the target of massive missile attacks and air bombing from Russia.
With those present at the meeting, General Alexander Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, the President discussed issues of providing the military with the necessary amount of ammunition to effectively counter aggression.
Special attention was paid to the increase in shelling of Kharkov and other cities in the east of the country.
«Russia does not stop its destructive actions. We are working to provide our citizens with reliable protection. We are preparing a response for the enemy that will not only be specific, but also fair», — the president emphasized.
It is worth noting that in recent months Russia has intensified attacks on large cities in the east and south of Ukraine, such as Kharkov, Odessa and Zaporozhye. These cities are under daily attack from rockets, bombs and kamikaze drones. These attacks do not have a military purpose, but rather are aimed at terrorizing the population and undermining the will of Ukrainians to resist.
