The air force shoots down 85% of Russian missiles and UAVs, said Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleshchuk.

Details: The Defense Forces have destroyed 1,709 missiles of various types since February 24, 2022. Among them:
- X-101/555/55 – produced by Russia – 1360, destroyed – 1045;
- “Caliber” – 834 produced, destroyed – 397;
- “Iskander-K” – 154 produced, 62 destroyed;
- Attack UAV “Shahed-136/131” – released – 3940, destroyed – 3095.
During the entire war, Air Force aviation made more than 16,000 sorties – 7,600 for fire engagement and another 8,600 for fighter air cover.

Several brilliant operations were carried out (in 2023) to destroy Russian aircraft that were terrorizing Ukrainians with guided bombs and other means of destruction.”
