According to observations of the Central Geophysical Observatory2 in Kyiv it was +10 .8°C. This is 1.8 C above the climate norm.

This was reported at the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky.

2023 became the second warmest year for the period of observations after 2020. This happened due to the record warm second half of the year (13.3 ° C). Then the deviation of the average temperature from the climate norm was 2.3°C. It is clarified that average monthly temperatures exceeded the climate norm for 11 months last year. The exception was April, which turned out to be colder than usual.

In January, August and September, there were the largest deviations – 2.9°C, 3.4°C, 3.9°C, respectively.< /p>

The coldest day was February 8 – minus 10.3°C, the hottest was August 29, then the temperature in the shade reached +35.9°C.

In 2023 In Kyiv, 47 temperature records were recorded. Most of them were in January – 16, and in August – 12.

Precipitation fell 673 mm, which corresponds to 109% of the climate norm. At the same time, in July and April there were two monthly norms, and only 1.5% of the average in May. The average monthly air temperature in December in Kyiv was +0.7° C. This is 2.5° C above the climate norm.
