Almost a million applications for a special visa have been approved.
After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Canada took almost a reading. Such statistics are presented on the country's government website.
The data covers those of our fellow citizens who took advantage of the Canada-Ukraine Emergency Travel Permit program, which provides for obtaining a visa for residence, work, financial assistance and temporary settlement.
In total, more than 1.2 million applications were submitted under this program, of which almost a million were approved. However, today 250 thousand Ukrainians have arrived in Canada.
Currently, the visa program is no longer valid; everyone who applied must arrive in the country no later than the last day of March.
