On the 8th of May, Russian fire fighters launched a combined strike with missiles of various types and strike weapons pilots. Zagalom, the Russian Federation launched 76 military attack forces – 55 missiles and 21 attack drones.
The commander of the Air Force Mikola Oleshchuk stated this, RBC-Ukraine reports on his post on Telegram.
Following this, the Russians launched into Ukraine:
- one aeroballistic missile Kh-47M2 “Kindzhal” (launched from the Tambov region of the Russian Federation);
- two ballistic missiles “Iskander- M” (from TOT Krim);
- more winged missiles “Caliber” (outside the Black Sea);
- 45 missiles Kh-101/Kh-555 from strategic aviation Tu-95 MS (launch area of the Saratov region of the Russian Federation, the Caspian Sea);
- one missile “Iskander-K” (from Crimea);
- two armored aircraft missiles X-59/X-69 (from the occupied Zaporizhzhya region);
- 21 attack drones of the Shahed-131/136 type (from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk region RF).
“Before the enemy's immediate attack, the attack was carried out by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force, mobile combat groups and radio-electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces “no,” said Oleschuk.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 59 airborne targets were destroyed:
- 33 Kh-101/Kh-555 missiles;
- Caliber missiles;
- two armored aircraft missiles X-59/X-69;
- 20 attack drones of the Shahed-131/136 type.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the masquerade of missiles the blow of the Russian Federation on Remembrance Day and the victory over Nazism in the Other World War.
“The whole world can clearly understand who is who. The whole world has no right to give another chance to Nazism,” he emphasized.
Massive attack at night
On the night of May 8th, the occupying military forces of the Russian Federation continued to attack the energy sector. Energy facilities were attacked in Poltava, Kropyvnytskyi, Zaporizkaya, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnytsia regions.
In addition, Russian troops shelled three Ukrainian TES, damaging the ownership of power plants.
