The Mali junta's friendship with terrorists
The African republic is in a confrontation with another state that has blue and yellow colors on its flag – Sweden.
On Friday, the country's Foreign Ministry informed the Swedish ambassador that he must leave Mali within three days. The department announced the ultimatum on its page on the X network.
As it turned out, the reason is money. Swedish Minister for Development Cooperation Johann Forssell rightly noted on social networks that it is impossible to “support Russia's war of conquest against Ukraine and at the same time receive hundreds of millions of kroner for development every year.” Sweden is curtailing its financial aid program for the African republic.
This statement was perceived as hostile in Mali, which is why they ordered the Swedish ambassador to go home.
