According to the Ministry of Defense, the military will receive more fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, in particular zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, apples, etc.
This became possible after the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine extended the terms of their purchase.
“New requirements for the purchase of fresh farm produce will allow us to supply the army with higher quality and healthier food,” said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klymenkov.
These changes are recorded in the updated “Periods of Delivery and Packaging of Products under the Food Catalogue”, which the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense DOT will begin to use from the beginning of 2025.
In August, the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense “State Logistics Operator” published a procurement plan until the end of 2024.
