The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ukraine published on its Facebook page congratulations for Ukraine on the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The chairman of the diplomatic mission, Shahriyar Amuzegar, said that “the new year is a harbinger of new opinions and new solutions for the future, which, we hope, will be better than the past.” Iran also wished for “peace, security and comfort to return to your land.”
The Islamic Republic is a close trade and military partner of Russia. It was Tehran that supplied the Kremlin with suicide drones of the “shahed” type, which have been regularly terrorizing Ukrainian regions for more than two years, and recently almost around the clock. Even on Christmas night, in addition to missiles, the occupiers attacked our country, including with Iranian-made UAVs.
