The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that as of 22:00 on January 18, 176 battles took place, the largest number of which were in the Pokrovsk direction (84).
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy committed 19 assault actions. The invaders stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Toretsk, Krymskoe and Shcherbinovka.

In Zaporozhye, where search and rescue operations are continuing at the site of the Russian missile strike, rescuers have freed the body of a deceased person from under the rubble, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
As of 19:49, 11 people were injured and 1 person was killed, said OVA Chairman Ivan Fedorov. “Eleven injured and one killed – the number of victims as a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhia is growing. There are currently three people in hospitals – two women and a man. Rescuers pulled the body of a 63-year-old man from under the rubble. Another 27-year-old man is considered missing.”

He is suspected of high treason and incitement of religious hostility and hatred.
The agency's statement does not indicate the name of the person involved in the case, but according to LB.ua sources, it is former MP from the Opposition Platform – For Life party Vadym Novinsky.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip will begin on Sunday at 08:30 local time.
As Politico writes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this to Qatar after Israel approved the agreement on Saturday. The publication writes that the ceasefire agreement provides for a six-week pause in military action and an exchange of hostages. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said the first prisoner exchange would take place on Sunday.
